AquaSense-BGA

Modulated phycocyanin / phycoerythrin fluorometer for cyanobacteria early warning, with coherent detection, self-cleaning option, and RS485 / Modbus output.

AquaSense-BGA is the cyanobacteria-channel sibling of AquaSense-Chl. It uses the same modulated excitation and coherent detection technology, tuned to the phycocyanin (freshwater BGA) or phycoerythrin (marine BGA) fluorescence band, for sensitive, drift-resistant early warning of harmful algal blooms.

AquaSense-BGA Overview

AquaSense-BGA is an optical blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) fluorometer that uses modulated excitation and coherent detection to lift sensitivity and reject ambient light interference. The reagent-free optical method avoids consumables and chemical waste, and the optional self-cleaning brush keeps the optical window free of biofilm for long-duration deployments.

The sensor is factory-configurable for the phycocyanin (PC) channel for freshwater cyanobacteria monitoring, or the phycoerythrin (PE) channel for marine cyanobacteria. The RS485 / Modbus RTU interface integrates directly into AquaSense-Multi sondes and observation buoys for early-warning algal-bloom programs.
