AquaSense-DO

Fluorescence-lifetime optical dissolved oxygen sensor with long-life sensing cap, no oxygen consumption, and low maintenance for continuous water-quality monitoring.

AquaSense-DO uses fluorescence-lifetime technology, where dissolved oxygen quenches an excited luminophore on the sensor cap. Because the optical method consumes no oxygen, the probe has no flow-rate dependence, requires no warm-up time, and avoids the electrolytes and frequent calibration of traditional membrane-style DO sensors.

Overview

AquaSense-DO is a fluorescence-lifetime optical dissolved oxygen sensor. The method relies on the dynamic quenching of an excited luminophore by oxygen, so the measurement does not consume oxygen and is independent of sample flow rate. The sensor needs no warm-up and no electrolyte, and is designed to deliver accurate, stable, fast, and convenient dissolved-oxygen data with minimal user intervention.

The sensor is offered in multiple configurations to match different deployment scenarios — from clean surface water and aquaculture ponds to municipal and industrial process water — and can be paired with the AquaGo handheld analyzers or integrated into AquaSense-Multi multi-parameter sondes for fixed-station and buoy use.
