AquaSense-COD

Reagent-free UV-absorption COD sensor that also reports TOC, BOD, turbidity, and temperature, with automatic turbidity compensation and a self-cleaning brush.

AquaSense-COD is a digital RS485 / Modbus RTU sensor that uses UV absorption to deliver continuous COD, TOC, BOD, turbidity, and temperature readings without reagents or consumables. Automatic turbidity compensation, a self-cleaning brush, and immunity to chloride interference give it a reliable, fast-response duty cycle in wastewater and surface-water monitoring.

AquaSense-COD Overview

AquaSense-COD is a UV-absorption sensor that reports chemical oxygen demand alongside total organic carbon, biochemical oxygen demand, turbidity, and water temperature on a single RS485 / Modbus RTU interface. The reagent-free optical method eliminates consumables and waste — a real advantage for unattended deployments and long-term programs.

Automatic turbidity compensation, a self-cleaning brush, and chloride-immune optics produce stable readings even in challenging effluent and surface-water samples, with response times of a few tens of seconds. The sensor is well-suited to municipal and industrial wastewater discharge monitoring, environmental compliance, and process-water surveillance.
